THERMO-HYGROMETER MEASUREMENTS

The thermo-hygrometer function of a meter measures the temperature and relative humidity of the ambient air or in the capillaries (internal air void space) of a concrete slab. All flooring manufacturers have requirements for the indoor environmental conditions with specific minimum and maximum values in temperature and relative humidity measurements.

When installing a floor on a concrete slab, it is important to know the ambient temperature and humidity, slab surface temperature, and the dew point temperature. Most flooring products require the dew point temperature to be at least 10ºF and rising from the ambient temperature.
